Thank you! We've been having fun blogging about our sewing and quilting these past three months. Your comments and encouragement make it so much more fun. We're not sure exactly where we are going with this blog but we have some ideas...
A while back I mentioned the order I received from Connecting Threads. I'd like to give away these five fat quarters which I received free because of a mistake they made in shipping. (I'd love to give away more, but I'm afraid of what the shipping would cost me.)
To enter the giveaway please just post a comment about any handmade gifts you are making for Christmas this year. If you are a follower you will have an extra entry. Giveaway ends Tuesday evening.

I'm making a pillow for a family member!!! HEHE! Love you guys!! Love Karen
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying your blog - regular people having fun with less! As for gifts that I'm making this year, I think it will only be a Bible/Book of Praise case for my 6 year old, and maybe a table runner for myself.
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are great. They match my living room quite well. What a coincidence! I'm just starting to get sick of the runner that's in there now!
Keep up the blogging! I like it!

With so many in the family I'm overwhelmed where to start making gifts! I am making aprons for all my 5 nieces and heat wraps for the moms. If I have enough time I'd love to make a few adult aprons too. Better get started soon.
ReplyDeleteLove reading your blog and seeing all the wonderful things you 2 are making. Keep on posting :)
Love Ashley
well, as to what I will be making for Christmas gifts...that is a good question:) But, if I do...it will probably be something for my little nieces.
ReplyDeleteYou girls are quite the talented sewers. You are always pumpin' out something new. Good job...keep it coming:)
I follow you now too.

Thank you for sharing a little of your lives with us and especially all your creative ideas!
ReplyDeleteAs for gifts this year (for Sinter Klaas :) ) I don't want to think about how much I still have left to do...
I am hoping to do placemats/napkins/bread basket clothes for my mother-in-law and sister-in-law, personalized pillows for almost everyone, and a couple "molly" or "mickey" monkeys (pattern here: http://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/ - I love her blog too - she is also Christian - makes for an immediate connection!) and BIBS - I think I will try some with Terry cloth this year.
Wishing you both a great holiday with family and friends celebrating our saviours birth!!
Thanks for the giveaway! I'm a follower.
ReplyDeleteI'm making most of our gifts this year: shopping totes, tutus, backpacks, handbags, PJ pants, pencil pouches, among other things :) Most of these patterns are linked on my blog. Thanks for the giveaway! I found you first through Sew, Mama, Sew when your blog was spanking new! I enjoy reading what you've been up to...
ReplyDeleteI try to make most of my gifts, especially those I give to my friends. This year I'm trying I knit socks for my daughters and slippers for my girlfriends. I made hats and scarves for my nieces and also for my daughters.(I am a new knitter). I also made a pin cushion and needlebook for my faraway best girlfriend. We sewed together for many years and giving her sewing related gifts makes me feel closer to her. Thanks for the chance to win the great fabric! I love fabric and fiber!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of making some jammies for my daughter. I think I will make some chi tea mix I love that.
ReplyDeleteThis Christmas, I'm making table runners and pot holders, pincushions for my quilting buddies, and I always make peppermint candy. Homemade is the best!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this opportunity. Happy thanksgiving!
This Christmas I am making my mom a quilt from Moda fabrics and a bun warmer for a friend.
ReplyDeleteThis Christmas I'm sewing a purse for my niece, eight pairs of mini leather-soled shoes for nieces and nephews, I'm drawing a picture for my sister, and the table topper quilt I'm making in Suzanne's 'class' is for me. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to find a cool giraffe print to make my daughter a new pillow case... just to add to the 233 or so giraffe things (including wallpaper etc) in her bedroom. I know she'll love it!
ReplyDeleteKaren
I've been feverishly knitting scarves for gifts, hoping to finish them and start knitting socks for gifts. (It's not going to happen). I also am in the process of sewing a red Christmas jacket for a gift for myself. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoying your blog....
Ruth
I have lots of plans, hahaha! I'm hoping to knit something for each of the parents, sew pants for the boy, a dress for the girl, pjs for both, some doll clothes/accessories for the girl and I have an idea for a story writing kit for the boy. Things that are unlikely to happen, a quilt for the girl, and a quilted wallhanging for the ILs which these fat quarters would work great with the others I've been collecting. I'm really planning that for their anniv which isn't until April. I've got one of DH's socks very nearly finished which will provide a roadmap for the other men in the family.
ReplyDeleteHi, I just stumbled on your blog tonight and when I saw you photo at the top of you two sisters, I recognized you right away. Do you remember me maybe, secretary from Timothy Christian years back? I will be sure to visit here again!
ReplyDeleteHi,Alisa and Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteI am actually not making any Christmas presents this year. We really are not having a big christmas because all family lives far away and I will be 8 months pregnant. Alot of family is coming in the end of January when our baby is born so that is going to be the "celebration time". I am making quilts for my daughters but they will not be done for awhile.

I always make pjs for my family at Christmas, this year it's just for my nephews as the grown-ups have decided to support a family in need instead of giving each other gifts this year. I am hoping for a family with lots of kids, there are too many fun things you can make for little ones!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the give away. I am making overnight bags with matching makeup bags to match for the ladies in my family.
ReplyDeleteDoll clothes and blankets to match...for the 18" size...
